FLOYDADA — Floyd County Commissioners on Monday will present checks to the county’s fire departments and open county depository bids during their regular meeting that begins at 8 a.m.
Commissioners will give the checks to representatives from the Dougherty, Floydada and Lockney volunteer fire departments. The checks are the county’s contributions to the departments’ budgets for the year, which were approved at a recent meeting. This item will te taken up at 9 a.m.
The court will also open and discuss bids from banks vying to be the county depository. That will take place at 10 a.m.
Also on the agenda for Monday’s meeting, commissioners will set 2022 sheriff’s fees, consider an interlocal agreement with the City of Lockney for police dispatch services, and discuss a special election.
