FLOYDADA — Nine county and district offices are on the ballot for the March 2022 primaries, and several candidates have already put their hats in the ring.

According to the Floyd County Clerk’s Office, four incumbent county officials have indicated their intention to run for another term in the Republican primary. County Judge Marty Lucke, Precinct 2 Commissioner Clint Bigham and Precinct 4 Commissioner David Martinez have all filed campaign treasurer documentation with the clerk’s office. County Treasurer Lori Morales has also filed for re-election.

Sitting 110th Judicial District Judge Bill Smith has also filed his candidacy with the Secretary of State.

Candidates for county offices must file documentation with the county clerk’s office and with the Democratic or Republican party county chairs. Candidates for district offices file with the state party chairs.

The deadline to file for a place on the ballot is Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. More information can be found on the Secretary of State’s website.

  • Floyd County Judge
  • Floyd County Clerk
  • Floyd County Treasurer
  • Floyd County Commissioner, Precinct 2
  • Floyd County Commissioner, Precinct 4
  • Floyd County Justice of the Peace, Precincts 1 & 4
  • Floyd County Justice of the Peace, Precincts 2 & 3
