(Texas Farm Bureau)
WACO — Texas Farm Bureau is currently enrolling classrooms in its Farm From School program for spring 2022.
Kindergarten through fifth grade teachers statewide are eligible to sign their classes up to participate in the program, which will allow students to meet virtually with a farmer or rancher each month from February through May.
According to the Bureau, the goal of the program is to “see how diverse agriculture is through live visits to farms and ranches across Texas.”
The livestreams will give students an opportunity to see ag in action and ask questions, and teachers will receive TEKS-aligned lesson plans and resources relevant to each month’s topic.
Registration is open until Jan. 7. Information is available on TFB’s website.
