Sally Bradley (Lubbock)

Sally Edna Bradley passed away on August 3, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. She and her husband, Pat – a banker with American State Bank, were once members of the Floydada community.

On February 19, 1940, Sally was born to Ray and Mary Horton in Birmingham, Alabama. She met her future husband Pat in the second grade in Pecos, Texas, and they were married for 62 years until her death. She was a school teacher and entrepreneur, opening Tis Christmas in 1985. She was very proud of the accomplishment, through Tis Christmas events, of raising enough money to build two and a half homes through Habitat for Humanity. She served the Methodist church in many roles, including leadership in the Walk to Emmaus community and as a member of the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation board of directors. She and her husband Pat were always caught up in family activities, with a highlight being the Cousins Camp they hosted each summer for their six youngest grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her husband, Pat Bradley; brother Bill Horton, and wife Diane, two sons, Craig, and wife Zoe, Bradley, and Dale, and wife Mandi, Bradley; eight grandchildren, John, and wife Camille, Bradley; Maryanne, and wife Emily, Pease; Audrey, and husband Trevor, Smith, Paul Bradley, Carleigh Bradley, Carter Bradley, Maggie Bradley, and Bishop, and wife Cayley Bradley, and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Thomas Bradley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Horton.
