LUBBOCK, TX – A Floydada-native is set to join 106-1 Flip-FM this week.
Remington Ricketts, a 2018 FHS graduate, has been hired as the new Music Director for the Texas County radio station.
Since leaving his hometown, Ricketts was enrolled in the West Texas A&M University Mass Communications program, working at the student-run on-campus radio station (91.1 KWTS-FM), and participated in play-by-play and color commentary roles for football broadcasts.
Ricketts will determine the radio station’s new music, arrange in-studio artists’ visits, and host a three-hour daily show.
