Barry Keith Fyffe (Plainview)

Barry Keith Fyffe joined his Lord and Savior on November 17, 2022, at 86, surrounded by his wife and family members in Lubbock, Texas.  Services will be held at 2 p.m.., Monday, November 21, 2002, at First Christian Church with Richard Dye officiating.

Barry was born on November 8, 1936, to Dee Witt Fyffe and Marion Cecile (Covington) Fyffe in Floydada, Texas.  Barry grew up in Floydada with brothers and sisters in Floydada, Texas.

Barry married Carol Fyffe on May 2, 1980, in Lake Tahoe, California.  The couple moved to Sacramento, California, where Barry worked as a Radio Broadcaster for KFBK and KROY for 30 years.

Barry was a member and deacon at First Cristian Church in Plainview, Texas.  And proudly served in the United States Airforce, where he had some of the best times of his life.

Barry loved life especially LOVED Politics, and LOVED Texas.  He valued the friends that he made in Texas.  He also liked Golfing, Horses, and Country and Western Music.

Barry worked for several years as a host of ” United Cerebral Palsy Telethons. Through his radio years, he was active in many charities and was a public figure.  He interviewed people like Dolly Parton, Bruce Jenner, Sirhan Sirhan, and Olivia Newton-John. He interviewed the Osmonds and spent the day with them. KROY was the #1 Rock n Roll station in the country.   His talk show at KFBK was a great experience — he interviewed Governors and people from all walks of life.  He was so good at what he did.  He went on an honor flight in 2020.

Survivors include his wife, Carol, of 43 years, his daughters Leslie, Kelly, and Amanda, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  And several nieces and nephews.

Barry is preceded in death by his parents, DeeWitt Fyffe and Marion Cecile (Covington) Fyffe, plus 8 siblings.
