Johnny Wayne Adams (Lockney)

Johnny Wayne Adams of Lockney passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Lockney.  Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.

Johnny was born December 2, 1959, in Lockney, Texas, to Johnny Ray Adams and Patsy Mae Anderson Adams. He attended and graduated from Lockney High School in 1980.  Johnny has lived in Tahoka for the past 30 years. More than anything, he loved his family, his nieces, and his nephews. They were like children of his own to him. He loved tending to his dogs (Ducks, chickens, roosters, cats, and Oreo). He loved being outdoors, doing yard work, and working with wood and leather. When it was too cold to be outside, he enjoyed playing games. He was a pro and could win at everything. Johnny will be greatly missed but forever remembered for his love for others, positive attitude, and love for God. He never lost faith, even in the hardest times.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Johnny Ray Adams and Patsy Mae Anderson Adams, his sister; Cindy Lea Adams, as well as his grandparents; William Virgil Adams, Ruby Lee Adams, Jessie Marie Anderson Leach, and step-granddad, J.W. Leach.

His survivors include sisters; Tammy Adams and Tracy Adams of Lockney, niece Misty Villa and Husband Davie Villa of Lockney, niece Windy Webb and Husband Randy Webb of Plainview, nephew Stevie Karlin of Lockney, great-nieces; Joey (Niki) Cantu of Lockney, RayLee Webb of Plainview, Shaylea and Shaybrea Villa of Lockney, great-nephew; Westin Webb of Plainview, uncle Gordon Adams, and aunt Dimple Adams of Lockney, aunt Ruby Adams of Plainview, numerous cousins, and friends. Some extended family includes; Russell Jarrett of Plainview, Chris McCready of Lubbock, Tracy Bailey of Lubbock, Danny Hart of Tahoka, Jeremy Hall of Tahoka, George Hernandez of Plainview, Nathan & India Ruttmen and family of Tahoka, Rodger Jolly of Tahoka.
