NEW HOME, TX – The #20 ranked Floydada Whirlwinds are in action at the New Home Tournament this week.
Their first round matchup was against the 4A Pampa Harvesters.
Floydada’s Coach Eddie Walker described the win as a “great team win” as the Whirlwinds were able to secure the victory 86-54.
The Winds jumped out to a 23-14 lead after the first quarter and were able to apply that pressure throughout the game.
Floydada was led by senior Abran Castillo, who had 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals.
