MUNCY, TX – Day one of the annual Floyd County Stock Show is in the books, and youth from Lockney and Floydada rolled in Wednesday to show their beef cattle.
In the Heifer show, Braxton Cole’s Angus claimed Grand Champion while Reserve Champion went to Brailey Kidd’s Simmental.
A couple of crossbreds won the top two awards in the Steer show as Justin Torres won Grand Champion and Parker Kellison took Reserve Champion.
In addition, Jaxson Smith won Senior Showmanship, and Hartlee Battey was named the Junior Showmanship winner.
Day two of the event is Saturday with the swine, sheep, and goat shows.
