FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds (3-6) hosted the Crosbyton Chiefs in a non-district game on Tuesday.
The Whirlwinds would strike first in the bottom of the first inning and take a 1-0 lead.
Floydada’s offense would come to life in the bottom of the third inning, as they were able to add seven runs to the board and have an 8-0 lead.
The bottom of the fourth saw continued pressure from the Whirlwinds as they added seven more and took complete control of the game, 15-0.
The Chiefs were able to rally and score one in the top of the fifth, but it was too little, too late for Crosbyton, and the Whirlwinds would go on to win 15-1 over the Chiefs on Tuesday.
