Linda Jackson (Floydada)

Linda Myrick Jackson, 74, of Floydada, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The family has requested a private Graveside Service. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.

Linda was born March 13, 1949, in Floydada, TX, to Clovis and Polly (Cantrell) Myrick.  She attended Floydada schools until her sophomore year when her family moved to Lubbock.  She attended Lubbock High & Coronado High, where she graduated in 1967.

She married Cecil Jackson on May 8, 1971, in Floydada.  She was a proud farmer’s wife and homemaker for most of her life.  She was an excellent mom and, even better, Nana.  She also worked as a secretary and bank teller at different times.

She enjoyed sewing and embroidering projects, baking, shopping, making personalized books for gifts, and playing dress-up with her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hostessing at family get-togethers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her children, Delinda & Marty Lucke and Brad & Tali Jackson; her grandchildren, Ashley & Lupe Lopez, Michaela & Thomas Adams, Delaney Lucke, Kailee Jackson, and Jaden Green; and her great-grandkids, Holden Lopez, and Lillian, Archer, and Jaxlee Adams; her brothers, Donnie & Greta Myrick, and Dwayne Myrick. She also leaves behind a vast network of extended family.
