FLOYD COUNTY, TX – A handful of Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued by the National Weather Service in Lubbock on Tuesday evening as a line of storms dumped a blanket of moisture across the drought-stricken area.
Mother Nature also provided memorable photographic moments for residents and storm chasers, though no funnel or tornadic activity was reported.
Cumulative rainfall across the county is the most since last August (5.55″), though the communities remain in a drought caused by three consecutive years of below-normal precipitation.
