FLOYDADA, TX – The KCBD Newschannel 11’s Community Coverage Tour will return to Floydada on Tuesday, July 9 for the fourth time since 2013.
The annual event, now in its 22nd year, is a chance for KCBD to take their newscasts on the road to the communities that watch them each night.
This year’s event will feature stories on the Serrato sisters and their impact on Floydada’s community, how Pumpkin Pyle’s largescale operation has become Floydada’s calling card to the entire state of Texas, and how a Floydada Collegiate Junior High student became a piano prodigy while practicing at his parents’ shop.
KCBD will broadcast their 5pm and 6pm newscasts from Floydada’s City Park at the intersection of First and Georgia streets.
Following the newscast there will be a meet and greet with the anchors, as well as free hot dogs. Kurbside Eats will also be set up at the park for the evening.
