LOCKNEY, TX – Residents across the Lockney area will have an opportunity to access free health resources and wellness education during the W.J. Mangold Memorial Health Fair, set for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lockney Elementary School, located at 310 SW 8th Street.

The annual community health fair is designed to help individuals and families take charge of their health by connecting them with local healthcare providers and support services. Attendees will be able to receive free health screenings, learn about healthy eating habits, participate in fitness activities, and explore practical ways to improve overall wellness. Activities for children will also be available, making the event family-friendly.

Organizers have also included a community food drive as part of the event. Nonperishable food items collected will be distributed locally and shared with the South Plains Food Bank, which supports food-insecure families throughout the region.

The health fair is sponsored by a broad network of regional healthcare and community partners, including WJ Mangold Memorial Hospital, Hickory Recovery Network, Central Plains Center, Caprock Home Health, Interim HealthCare, Lincare DME, South Plains College, Texas Star Health Plans, and AMBUS‑RAC.

Community members are encouraged to attend, receive free screenings, and consult with medical professionals while supporting neighbors in need through the food drive. Admission is free and open to the public.
