FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Families across Floyd County are invited to take part in the Families Read Every Day (FRED) Summer Reading Program beginning June 18 at the Floyd County Library in Floydada.
The free program will be held on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will run through July 9. Designed for participants of all ages, the program encourages families to spend time reading together while exploring the resources and services available through the local library.
Throughout the four-week program, families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities focused on reading, learning, and family engagement. Organizers have planned hands-on experiences and interactive activities aimed at making reading fun and accessible for everyone.
Participants will also have chances to win prizes during the program. The theme, “Free Unearth a Story,” encourages families to discover new books, explore the library’s collection, and build lifelong reading habits together.
The program is open to all families and is offered at no cost. Registration is available by scanning the event QR code or by calling the Floyd County Library at 806-983-4912.
