FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Pickleball enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to participate in the Floyd County Beat the Heat Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 20, at the Friends of Floyd County Unity Center in Lockney.
The tournament will be held indoors at the Unity Center located at 990 FM 786, providing a climate-controlled environment for competitors regardless of weather conditions. Play is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., with beginner, intermediate, and pro divisions available to accommodate players of varying experience levels.
Competition will feature women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles divisions. Organizers welcome participants of all ages to take part in the event, which is designed to promote healthy activity, friendly competition, and community involvement.
Registration is $20 per individual or $30 per team. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the tournament.
The event is sponsored by the Floyd County Family and Community Health Committee and aims to bring community members together for a day of fun and fitness through one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.
