George Garcia, age 68, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. A Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
George was born January 27, 1953, to Vincent and Victoriana (Gomez) Garcia in Ballinger, Texas. He worked for the Floydada Independent School District for many years. He loved the Texas Rangers, playing washers, cooking, and hanging out with his friends and family. George loved his kids, his step-sons, and all of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Vickie Garcia; a brother, Jimmy Garcia; two sisters, Mary Lou Seca and Grace Collazo; and a grandson, Paul Martin Cabello.
Those left to cherish George’s memory are his two sons, George Garcia, Jr. and Buddy Garcia; three daughters, Paula Garcia, Melisa Garcia and Andrea Barrientos; his girlfriend, Sylvia Luna; three step-sons, Martin, Manuel and Michael (Judge) Meza; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Angie Garcia, Agnes Vasquez, Janet Billegas, and Barbara (Robert) Perez; and one brother, Rick Garcia.
