Erlinda Isias Ascencio, age 53, of Floydada, passed away on July 23, 2021 in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Templo Getsemani Assembly of God Church in Floydada. Interment will follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Erlinda was born April 19, 1968 in Asherton, Texas to George Sanchez, Sr. and Santos (Isias) Sanchez.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Santos Sanchez; a sister, Sandra Sanchez; a sister-in-law, Maria Guadalupe Sanchez; and a nephew, Jorge Sanchez III.
Erlinda is survived by her children, her son Joel Hernandez and his wife Monica Alvidrez Hernandez of Seminole, her son Jason Lee Sanchez of Abilene, and her son, Juan Carlos Ascencio, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Floydada; five grandchildren and her heart belonged to her grandbaby Carlitos (Juan Carlos Delafuente); her father, George Sanchez, Sr.; her siblings, her brother, Juan Sanchez of Plainview; her sister, Patricia Sanchez and husband Miguel Alaniz of Floydada; her brother, Oscar Sanchez of Floydada; her brother, George Sanchez, Jr. of Plainview; her brother, David Sanchez and his wife Minerva Hinojosa of Corpus Christi; and her sister, Juanita Sanchez and her husband Juan Melchor, Sr. of Floydada; and a host of nieces and nephews.
