Hale, Floyd extension agents hosting Caprock Beef Cattle Conference

PLAINVIEW — Hale and Floyd County extension agents Andy Hart and Mark Carroll have announced the second annual Caprock Beef Cattle Conference on September 9 at the Ollie Liner Center in Plainview.

The conference will offer several top beef cattle experts that will provide information related to forage management and beef health. Sponsors for the conference are Browning Seed, Inc. and Plains Land Bank. The cost to attend the conference is $30; registration includes lunch and a conference cap.

Programs on the agenda for the conference include: Beef Cattle Market Outlook & Risk Management, Vaccinations and Worming, High Protein vs. Low Protein Cube, and Added Value of Implants on Young Calves. The keynote speaker, Dr. Dale Woerner, a Texas Tech Associate Professor, will talk about cattle sustainability.
