Cheryl Stephens Ward, age 71 of Turkey, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Cheryl was born May 8, 1950 in Matador, Texas to Herbert and Margaret Stephens. Cheryl completed her education and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree. She worked as a Nursing Home Administrator. Cheryl was strong in her faith, She loved all her family…her daughter, her son, her parents, her brothers, and all her grandchildren but she enjoyed an especially strong bond with her grandson, Caleb, and she loved to get in the floor and play Legos, and throw the football to him.. Cheryl also shared a special bond with her daughter, Jana took care of her Mom for many years and considered her Mother her best friend in the world. Cheryl really enjoyed making people laugh, and she was a very funny lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Margaret; and a brother, Roy Gene Stephens.
Those left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are her son, Stacy Ward and his wife Jill; her daughter, Jana Ward; her grandchildren, Quinn and Reagan Ward and Caleb Shine; her brother, Bobby Herbert Stephens and his wife Donna; and her sister-in-law, Joanie Stephens,
