FLOYDADA — Floydada City Council will meet on Tuesday evening at 6:30 for its regular meeting. On the agenda are building condemnations, further discussion on a certificate of obligation bond, and several routine items.

The council will consider condemning two properties at 623 and 625 E. Kentucky St. owned by Toribio Sanchez and Ismael Arevalo, respectively.

Later, the council will hear from a financial advisor and consider adopting an ordinance authorizing the issuance of a certificate of obligation bond, recently approved by the council to fund a fire truck and water infrastructure project, and levying an ad valorem tax to pay for it.

The City Council will also look at a negotiated settlement with Atmos Energy, discuss the fund balance policy and review the city investment policy.

Prior to the regular meeting, the city will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. regarding a requested zoning variance and final condemnation proceedings on a property at 916 S. Garrison.
