Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack Speaks With Radio Station

FLOYDADA, TX – Tom Vilsack is the second-longest serving Secretary of Agriculture in the nation’s history, and joined Tony St. James of All Ag, All Day (KFLP-AM radio) last week.

In the one-on-one interview, St. James quizzed the head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on how the proposed Build Back Better initiative – also known as the reconciliation or human infrastructure bill – would benefit farmers, ranchers and rural communities.

Vilsack and KFLP radio have a history that dates back to 2009 when the former Iowa Governor became the 30th Agriculture Secretary under President Barrack Obama. Over the next eight years, he would talk with St. James on at least 20 different occasions, including once in Lubbock during an event at Texas Tech.

All Ag, All Day (900AM) is the nation’s only full-time farm radio station, broadcasting agribusiness news, markets, and weather 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Programming includes the Farm and Ranch Report, Agribusiness Report, and Agriculture Today with the latter two also broadcast, in syndication, to 30 radio stations in Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
