Misty Minnitt (Floydada)
Misty Michelle Minnitt, age 46, passed away, Monday, October 25, 2021. Chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada. Interment will follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Misty was born on September 16, 1975, in Floydada to Wanda and Kenneth Sweat. She had a soft and gentle nature but was ready to rumble when necessary. Her heart was pure and she valued her family and friends above anything else. She was a Marvel fanatic, loved horror movies, and enjoyed traveling. Misty worked for 18 years as a Civilian Health System Specialist for the Department of the Army at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her twin sons, Gavin and Maverick; her grandmothers, Jimmie Lee Minnitt and Velma Lee Windom; and one uncle, Jerry Pleasant.
Those left to cherish Misty’s memory are her mom and dad, Wanda and Kenneth Sweat; her daughter, Delicia Minnitt; her fur grandchildren, Chloe, Mila, and Milo; her sisters, Sheena (DJ) and Angela (Keith) Sweat; eleven nieces and nephews, four aunts and three uncles.
