As Floydada Collegiate I.S.D. continues on the “Collegiate” pathway, it is critical that our staff be able to provide instruction for dual credit courses on our home campus. Currently, most dual credit courses are offered online via South Plains College. Our goal is to to be able to offer as many dual credit courses face-to-face on our campus! This will allow us to better support students as they work towards earning an associates degree in high school (at no cost) or within 2 yrs after high school.

Pictured are the 2021 recipients of the TCLAS Dual Credit Faculty Expansion Grant. These candidates will be working on earning a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours in the dual credit concentration area so that they can be approved to teach dual credit to FCISD students!

We applaud these educators for taking on the challenge of increasing their credentials as a part of our collegiate journey and help our Floydada students!

Recipients pictured are Jonathan Ramirez, Beth Logsdon, Veronica DeLaFuente, Jessica Munguia, Kalissa Hinson, Pete Payen, and Tyree Johnson.
