Mitchell-Zimmerman Field is site of 1A-I area playoff

LOCKNEY — The Happy Cowboys (8-3) and Borden County Coyotes (6-5) will square off in a 1A-I
6-man area playoff game at Mitchell-Zimmerman Field this Friday at 6:30 p.m. Lockney’s stadium is one of a few artificial surface fields in the Panhandle-South Plains area that is marked for both 11-man and 6-man football.

This is the second playoff game that will have been held at Mitchell-Zimmerman Field, as last Friday Sundown defeated Sanford-Fritch 52-13 in a 2A-I Bi-District playoff.
