FLOYDADA — The Lady Winds won their third straight game by cruising past the Hart Lady Longhorns 63-28 at Whirlwind Gym. Floydada established dominance early with a 17-3 first quarter lead. The Lady Winds outscored Hart in each of the four quarters.
The sophomore duo of Zay Santos and Sierra Snowden led the Lady Winds (4-2) by scoring 15 points each. Freshman Katelyn Ramirez also made double figures with 12.

FLOYDADA — The Floydada Whirlwinds remained undefeated on the young season when they ran past the Hart Longhorns 93-48 at Whirlwind Gym. The Whirlwinds (2-0) scored the biggest majority of their points in transition by making layups. Floydada made 40 2-point goals.
Sophomore Abram Castillo crossed the 20-point barrier for the second consecutive outing by pouring in 22. Freshman Braun Hobbs, junior Jayson Cooper, and senior Brandon Marquez all scored in the double figures with 17, 12 and 10 points respectively.

SEAGRAVES — The Lockney Lady Longhorns (7-2) returned to the win column with a solid 51-32 win over the Seagraves Lady Eagles on the road on Monday.
Lockney’s trio of senior Gabriella Cervantes (15), junior Adrianna Villarreal (14) and junior Mariah Ascensio (10) continued their consistent scoring. Ascensio had seven rebounds, while Seynado Bernal and Villarreal led the team in two categories of six steals and three assists each.
