Ofilia Hinojosa Torrez Salazar (Robstown)
Ofilia Hinojosa Torrez Salazar, age 65, of Robstown and formerly of Floydada, passed away on December 3, 2021, in Lubbock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2021, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Father Renato Cruz officiating. Interment will follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, and 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Ofilia was born on March 22, 1956, in Robstown, TX. She celebrated her graduation from Floydada High School in 1976. She blissfully married her husband, Tomas, on June 9th, 1990. She celebrated the birth of her daughter, Anita, on April 15th, 1991. Ofilia loved teaching and caring for children throughout her career at Texas Migrant Council, Kings Manor Childcare, and St. Anthony’s Catholic School. Ofilia’s friendliness and compassion made her a very beloved person with many friends. She loved crocheting and taking photos with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents, Fabian Torres, and Angelita Hinojosa Torres; her brothers, Robert Cavazos, Salvador Cavazos, and Fabian Torres II; her sister Mariana Espinoza; her twin brother, Raul Torres; and many other beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ofilia is survived by her husband, Tomas M. Salazar; her daughter, Anita Marie Torres Salazar; her brothers, Joe Angel Torres, and Guadalupe Torres; her sister, Angelita Torres Gonzales; and many other beloved family members. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and relatives.
