Pat Rendon (Plainview)
Pat Rendon, 89, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2021, at Harvest Christian Fellowship. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, December 19, 2021, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
Pat was born on March 17, 1932, in Round Rock, Texas to Allen and Josephine Rendon. He had two brothers, Aaron Rendon, Vick Rendon, and one sister Josie Martinez. Pat went on to marry the love of his life, Ruth Lockaby, in 1955. They had two daughters, Shanda Rendon and Betty DeLeon. Four sons Patrick Rendon, Paxton Rendon, John Allen Rendon, and Ray Carroll Rendon. Pat enjoyed singing and loved going to Amigos which quickly became his daily spot. Pat spent most of his years being a mail carrier and he took great pride in his job. Pat was a member at the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years in Floydada. He was also a member of the National Guard. Pat enjoyed his time with his kids. Pat loved all eleven of his grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; they were his pride and joy.
Pat is survived by his daughters Shanda Rendon and husband Byron Montano of Houston, TX, Betty DeLeon and husband Ruben of Plainview, TX; one son Patrick Rendon and wife Lorrie Rendon of Possum Kingdom, TX; and one brother Aaron Rendon of Floydada.
Pat is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Rendon; his sons Paxton Rendon, John Allen Rendon Ray Carroll Rendon his parents, Allen and Josephine Rendon; his brother Vick Rendon and Sister Josie Rendon; his grandchild Cissy DeLeon and one great-great-grandchild Adalynn Rae Muniz.
