Lady Winds return from holiday break with tough win at Dimmitt

DIMMITT — The Lady Winds (12-6) fought off the Dimmitt Bobbies in the fourth quarter to take a hard fought win 36-32 at Kenneth Cleveland Gym on Tuesday afternoon.

Floydada had a 10-point lead at halftime 18-8, but Dimmitt won the third quarter 15-6 to make it a one point lead by the Lady Winds to start the the fourth quarter.

Erin Trevino and Kaitlyn Ramirez made the difference in the final stanza with six and four points respectively. Trevino ended up being Floydada’s leading scorer with nine.

This was Floydada’s first game since December 13.
