Caprock Crop Production Conference set for Jan. 27

MUNCY — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices for Floyd and Crosby counties are hosting the 2022 Caprock Crop Production Conference on Jan. 27 at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center.

Registration for the in-person class is open now for $45 in advance, which bumps up to $55 at the door. The signup forms are found at https://crosby-ag-committee.square.site/

The conference starts at 8 a.m. that morning and features topics like forage grazing and cover crop residues, soil health, wild hog and prairie dog control, a law, carbon credits, and auxin training. Some of the featured speakers include WTAMU’s Dr. Jason Smith, Joe Zotter of USDA, AgriLife ag law specialist Dr. Tiffany Lashmet and Dr. Joe Outlaw, professor and extension economist at Texas A&M.

Continuing education units will be available and lunch is provided.
