Mike was born on January 13, 1963, in Lockney, Texas to Jimmy (Slick) and Theresa Andrea Stennett. He was the youngest of four brothers, graduating from Lockney High School in 1981. He played football and golf for Lockney High School.

Mike lived in Lubbock attending Texas Tech University and working at Covenant Home Health, United Supermarkets, and Business Hygiene.

Mike married Cathy Deaver in 1985. They were married twenty-one years and produced two bright and beautiful daughters, Maghen and Madison.

Mike enjoyed playing golf and watched it endlessly on tv. Too, he was an avid Cowboys fan, spending long Sunday afternoons texting with his brothers as they armchair-quarterbacked their favorite teams.

Mike will best be remembered for his sweet and kind nature, his sense of humor, his work ethic, and of course, his golf skills, including his exact shots, smooth swings, and pinpoint putts. In fact, he taught private lessons for a while.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Theresa Stennett, and grandparents Albert and Mary Andrae and Ed and Mary Gertrude Stennett.

He is survived by daughters Maghen (Brian) Doyle of Candler, NC, Madison of Lubbock, and a precious granddaughter, Tuesday Doyle. He leaves behind brothers Gary (Debbie) of Plainview, Doug (Ellen) of Richardson, and Kevin (Michealle) of Lockney. He is also survived by nieces Brandye, Tracey, and Kelsie Stennett and nephews Tucker and Keenan Stennett.

The family extends its warmest appreciation to Gayla Edwards for her long sweet devotion to Mike and untiring efforts in his failing health. His life was immeasurably blessed by her presence. The family of Mike would like to extend a special thank you to Mark Fred of Business Hygiene for his Christian leadership and professional support of Mike.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Faith In Sharing House, 504 Joliet, Plainview, Texas 79072
