J.R. Compton, Floydada – “It is pretty much what we were hoping for. Olton replacing Hale Center is the best deal for us in my opinion. We were hoping to avoid going north. The 4-2A coaches will meet Monday (Feb. 7) to draw for the district schedule and locations. Then, we will complete the locations of the non-district games.”

Cory McCombs, Lockney – “It is pretty much what we thought it might be. It will be a very competitive district that I think we fit in with. This will be a much better travel situation than going to Hamlin and Roscoe that we had the past two seasons. 3-2A-II coaches have already met and we know our district games already. We will know the locations of the non-district schedule after the other districts get together.”
