FLOYDADA – The City of Floydada has come up with a good way to keep FCISD students busy during their spring break week. The city is hosting a city-wide spring cleaning event that week of March 14-19.
While the bit about keeping kids busy is a joke, the cleanup is not. The city’s landfill east of town along Highway 70 will be free for Floydada residents each day that week. The only requirement is that residents show their latest utility bill, meaning tipping fee coupons will not be collected.
The city asks residents to not bring any tires or shingles to dispose of.
The Floydada City Landfill is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
