DALLAS, TX – The Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Conference was held over the weekend in Dallas and two Floydada Collegiate High School students made the trek.

FCHS Senior Kailee Sanchez participated in the Pre-K Children’s literature category in her third year to compete at the state level. She was a member of last year’s Professional Development team that won at the State Competition.

FCHS Freshman Ava Gonzales participated in the Public Speaking category with the topic of “Closing The Educational Gaps due to Covid.” Ava was one of the seven top competitors and has qualified for the Educators Rising National Competition in June in Washington, DC.
