FLOYDADA – The following was posted by Floydada Collegiate ISD as a message to secondary students and parents to update their school-issued laptops before state standardized testing begins following spring break.

Floydada Collegiate Junior High and High School students and parents: The FCISD technology team is needing your help for a unique situation we find ourselves in as we start the STAAR and TELPAS testing season. The new testing software requires a macOS update to be done on the computers for our secondary campus. The process is fairly easy, but it’s not something we can do remotely. Students have the ability to update their machines themselves without the need for an admin password. Mr. King has emailed a link to a video guide to all student emails. The link is also included in this post. If your child has any time to do this over the spring break it would be very helpful. However, if you have a bandwidth-limited hotspot or poor Internet it can wait until the student is back in school. We appreciate everyone’s help in getting this done so that testing can go as smoothly as possible! Your child is welcome to come to the TIP room where Mr. King or Mr. Vega can assist with this or any other issues. Have a great rest of the week!
