New Chief Nursing Officer joins Mangold Memorial Hospital

LOCKNEY – The Board and Administration of the Lockney General Hospital District are pleased to announce the addition of Nisha Champaneri, RN, BSN, MSN in the role of Chief Nursing Officer at W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital.

Nisha was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from West Coast University in Richardson, Texas. She recently earned a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Walden University. Nisha gained her nursing experience at Medical City hospitals in Dallas, Fort Worth and Alliance where she was charge nurse of the Critical Care Unit. She also was a nurse at the Tarrant County Public Health Department during the height of the COVID pandemic. Nisha has relocated to the area from Fort Worth. “I am very grateful and excited to be starting this position at W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital. This is an opportunity to apply my knowledge and to work together as a team to make improvements to our patient centered care”, Nisha stated. She added, “I am passionate about nursing and am looking forward to leading and learning with my colleagues at W.J. Mangold”. Nisha began in her role on March 30, replacing Billie Hendrix who retired in January after 18 years at W.J. Mangold.

“We conducted a broad search for a nurse leader who had the ambition to provide compassion and care to the position while also bringing a fresh perspective to our approach to supporting our nurses,” said hospital CEO Vince DiFranco. “We found that in Nisha and we look forward to her contributions in making us a better healthcare organization.”
