FLOYDADA – The Floydada Collegiate High School Lady Winds played like they had something to prove in a convincing 11-2 victory over the Lady Winds Alumni on Saturday night at Lady Winds Field.
The 2023 Lady Winds utilized a pair of home runs by sophomore Soriah Wickware and junior Carissa Fernandez to build up a 9-0 lead before the Alumni ever got on the new scoreboard in the fifth inning. The high school team had a pair of four run innings in the third and fourth frames.
Incoming freshman Alli Hernandez made a solid pitching debut by getting the win in the circle.
