FLOYDADA – As parents get deep into back-to-school shopping, Floydada Collegiate ISD has a reminder that school supplies will be provided to their students this year.

The district’s board voted in May to use $75,000 in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds to pay for supplies students in every grade from Pre-Kindergarten to Senior year might need. Students at A.B. Duncan Elementary School will still need backpacks, but Junior High and High School students will be given bags when they check out their laptops.

As teachers returned to their classrooms this week they’ve started receiving their supplies, currently being sorted in the Duncan Elementary gym. Students will be given their supplies on the first day of school on August 22.
