PLAINVIEW – A Floydada native is among a new crop of graduates from the South Plains College Vocational Nursing Program at the school’s Plainview campus.

Brittany Garza was one of five graduates that took part in a pinning ceremony last week.

The ceremony marked the completion of training and the eligibility of the graduates to write the National Council Licensing Exam to become licensed vocational nurses.

In a release South Plains College said the pinning ceremony represented the 42nd graduating class of vocational nurses from their Plainview Center and honored Suzanne Griffin, program coordinator and assistant professor of vocational nursing, for her 36 years of service to the college.
