FLOYD COUNTY – Floyd County’s current burn ban was set to expire this week, but thanks to the county receiving an average of more than an inch of rain since last Thursday County Commissioners approved pulling the ban Monday morning.
Judge Marty Lucke officially pulled the ban at noon. He told commissioners if dry weather returns they would discuss reinstalling the burn ban during their September 6 meeting.
