FLOYDADA, TX – It was a quiet month for the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department.
According to records, firefighters made one run in August to Rushing Chapel (FM786 and FM602) for a grass fire.
The August 29th fire ignited by lightning was also extinguished by rain, leaving the area with no fire to fight when units arrived on the scene.
