NEW DEAL, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds (4-2) travel to New Deal (3-3) on Friday to take on the Lions in week two of district competition.
Last week the Whirlwinds achieved victory against Sundown in a thrilling overtime win, improving to 1-0 in district play.
In their district opener last week, New Deal handled Tahoka easily, resulting in a 40-2 win over the Bulldogs.
Since 2014, the Lions have bested the Whirlwinds, winning every meeting since the two teams have been in the same district.
