LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Lady Horns begin their first official basketball practice today.
The team is led by new head coach Stephanee Carrillo.
Last year, Lockney’s team went 24-9 overall and 4-4 in district play, finishing third in the district.
The girls were able to make a playoff run, beating Vega in the first round in overtime 58-50.
They eventually fell in the second round to Panhandle 74-31, ending the Lady Horns’ season.
Coach Carillo and the Lady Horns look to have an efficient season this year, starting with their first scrimmage on October 29th, and will be traveling to take on Valley.
