FLOYDADA, TX – Coach Adam Zepeda looks to prepare his team for a new basketball season with the team’s first practice on Wednesday.
Last year, the Floydada Lady Winds finished a solid season with an overall record of 19-6.
Floydada had a 6-2 record for district play and finished as co-district winners with Hale Center.
Coach Zepeda mentioned that the team looks to build off last season with one of their biggest strengths: experience.
Floydada returns eight players from last season, including last season’s district MVP Azaylee “Zay” Santos, and Newcomer of the Year, Soriah Wickware.
The Lady Winds will start their season with a scrimmage against Kress on October 29.
