FLOYDADA – A TxDOT project to replace sidewalks along Highways 70, 62 and FM 784 in Floydada that was slated to begin in July is now underway.

Ti-Zack Concrete of Minnesota began tearing out sidewalks along FM 784, better known as West Missouri Street, this week. The project will bring the sidewalks and ramps along the highways into Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. The Missouri Street project extends from the intersection at Highway 70 out to Texas Ave. The work will cause portions of the road to be shut down to one lane for worker safety.

The project is expected to take up to six months to complete, and will run from Floydada city limits along Highways 62 & 70.
