RALLS, TX – Lockney (2-6,1-2) traveled thirty miles south to Ralls (6-2,2-1) looking to find their way back into the win column; however, the Jackrabbits proved to be too much as the Longhorns fell Friday night 42-13.
Despite two touchdowns from Dyllan Thiebaud, it was the Jackrabbit offense that made the difference with three 100-yard rushers, including Justin Zavala (15 carries for 143 yards and 1 TD), Zaiah Riojas (13 carries for 140 yards and 1 TD) and the Senior Mathias Zavala (15 carries for 107 yards and 3 TDS).
Thiebaud was 13-30 from the air with 136 yards, connecting mostly with Senior Johnathan Cienfuegos (6 receptions for 64 yards) and Junior O’Brian Diaz (2 receptions for 38 yards).
The 3-2A Division II standings now have Sudan (3-0), Bovina (2-1), Ralls (2-1), Hale Center (1-2), Lockney (1-2), Crosbyton (0-3).
The Longhorns will look ahead to next Friday for a chance to make a playoff push as they face Hale Center in Lockney at 7:00 pm.
