FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds (13-4) hosted the Bovina Mustangs (5-6) on Friday night in a non-district game.
The Whirlwinds started the game by finding points early and often, as they outscored the Mustangs 29-17 in the first quarter.
There was continued pressure from the Whirlwinds in the second quarter as they added 32 more points and went to the locker room at halftime up 61-34.
The Winds would close the game out completely in the second half and win big over the Mustangs, 123-59.
Head Coach Eddie Walker described the game as a “great TEAM” win, with an emphasis on the team and how they performed as a group on Friday night.
The Floydada JV defeated the Bovina JV 50–31.
Floydada prepares for their first district matchup against New Deal on Tuesday.
