MUNCY, TX – Michelle Guerrero was one win from a hat trick on Saturday at the annual Floyd County Livestock Show.
Representing Lockney FFA, she took home Grand Champion belt buckles in the goat and sheep show, winning two of the four major events over the weekend.
Sydni Chessir of Floydada claimed the Reserve Grand Champion with a medium wool in the sheep show, Colby Guerrero from Lockney took Reserve Grand in the goats, and both won Senior Showmanship awards for their work in the ring.
Junior Showmanship awards went to Brighton Reese(sheep) and Dax Guerrero (goats), both from Lockney.
Lockney claimed all of the major awards in the Swine Show, starting with Brighton Reese’s crossbred receiving Grand Champion in the barrows and Kaileigh Cook’s duroc claiming Reserve Champion.
Adalyah Jones won Grand Champion gilt with her duroc, and the crossbred from Adrian Jimenez was named Reserve Grand Champion gilt.
Senior Showmanship in Swine went to Kaleigh Cook, with the Junior Showmanship award going to Carter Duniven.
