“I’m not being fed” is a common phrase among some church-goers today.
This lack of nourishment in the faith is causing followers to wander from camp to camp in search of their next meal.
So how, in today’s “instant gratification” world where we can Google this, YouTube that, listen to teaching 24/7 on the radio and television and pick up inspirational books in a convenience store, could we possibly be starving for the Word?
Moses dealt with something similar while leading God’s chosen people out of Egypt.
In Numbers Chapter 11, the author describes how the people complained about the manna God delivered daily, and they went so far as to demand meat.
God responded by answering their cries and giving them so much meat that many became ill and died.
We may be wise to rethink this idea that we aren’t being fed, instead looking more closely at the meal He has prepared and the opportunity we are being given to sit at His dinner table.
