OLTON, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds (13-8, 4-3) traveled to play the Olton Fillies (9-14, 5-2) in district play on Friday night.
The Fillies were able to jump out to an early lead over the Lady Winds in the first quarter as they led 14-12.
Olton was able to hold Floydada to only 8 points in the second quarter and would go into halftime with a 26-20 lead.
The Lady Winds battled back in the third quarter and kept the game within 5 points as Olton maintained the lead, 37-32, heading into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the two teams went back and forth, and the Fillies pulled out the close win over the Lady Winds with a final score of 46-42.
Floydada is currently in fourth place in the district with a 4-2 record and has seven district games remaining.
